DIA Red Hook_ subterranean museum [spring 2011]
Located at the projected brooklyn greenway apex
Section_ Southern, Wet Gallary
Section B_ Entrance stair leading to Subterranean Lobby
Museum Plan_ Level One
Museum Plan_ Level Zero
The museum itself is sub-terranian, leaving it almost undetectable and the Greenway uninterrupted. Portions of the museum have ruptured from underneath, exposing its depth, giving subtle acknowledgment. Three massive nodes are pushed, tilted, and stretched to mimic rolling landscape. Travelers of the greenway are forced to participate and become players within the museum, without even entering its subterranean network of galleries and shops.

Allowing greenway travelers to walk around, and peer inside; gives the community a new, and arguably the best view of its artwork the Dia will house. The participants are allowed to see, but are kept at an insatiable distance until they enter the museum and descend into its galleries.
